Yoga has been around for centuries and was originally devised as a way of preparing the body for sitting in meditation for hours at a time.
It certainly a come a long way since then, and is now used by millions of people worldwide. With so many physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional benefits, we can certainly understand why.

So whether you’re brand new to yoga or you’ve been practicing for years, we have options available for everyone.

Yoga For Beginners

Yoga for beginners is a hatha style yoga class which is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting a more gentle practice.

During each class we focus on breathwork, mindfulness and relaxation before taking the body through a range of movements designed to mobilise, stretch and strengthen. Each class finishes with a relaxation phase to help calm the body and mind.

This class is a great starting point for anybody who has not previously tried yoga. It is also suitable for individuals with mobility issues.

Classes take place at:
Mondays 9.30am to 10.30am ONLINE via Zoom
Thursdays 5.45pm to 6.45pm at South Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre and ONLINE via Zoom.

Gentle Yoga Flow

Gentle yoga flow is a vinyasa style class which gently flows from one pose to another.

We use the breath to help lead the movement through a gentle flowing sequence of poses. This helps to increase mobility, flexibility, strength, balance and stamina. Each class finishes with a relaxation phase to help calm the body and mind.

This class is ideal for anybody who enjoys a gentle practice but prefers flowing movement over static postures.

Tuesdays 5.20pm at South Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre

Fitness Yoga

Fitness yoga is a high energy vinyasa style class performed to upbeat music.

The class is designed to build strength, flexibility, stamina and fitness combined with the mind-body benefits of yoga.

This class is ideal for anybody who wants to increase their fitness levels, improve their strength and flexibility and enjoy moving to the music.

Classes take place at:
Thursdays 7pm to 7.45pm at South Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre

Candlelight Yoga
for Relaxation and Stress Relief

Candlelight yoga for relaxation and stress relief is an ad-hoc class which is open to both members and non-members.

This is a yin style class designed to destress the mind and unwind the body. It is an incredibly slow paced class with a huge focus on mindfulness, rest and relaxation. The low lit relaxing atmosphere and soothing sounds will help to go home relaxed and prepared for a great night’s sleep.

You will learn breathing and relaxation techniques that you can apply at any time to help you unwind and reduce stress.

This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and ability, and is the perfect antidote to a busy, stressful lifestyle.

Private Lessons

If group classes aren’t really your thing, or you feel like you could use a little bit more individual support, you may feel more suited to private lessons.
These can be carried out on a one to one basis, or you can share the experience with a friend or family member.
