Yoga and Pilates equipment

These soft Pilates balls are a really great tool in Pilates. They can be used in a variety of ways to challenge balance and add resistance which helps to improve core control and strength. I very rarely practice or teach Pilates without a soft ball. I have this set for my own use and as there are 2 sizes included, it really gives a lot of scope in how they can be used.

Yoga blocks can help to support your body and prevent you from overstretching. People often think that they are just for beginners but they’re great for more advanced poses too.

Yoga straps help us to get deeper into poses without sacrificing form and safety. This cute little set is great value and includes 2 blocks.

Pilates rings are used to add resistance to exercises. They can be used on their own or in conjunction with other equipment. They’re great for both upper and lower body work and can help you to get so much more out of your workout.

General Wellbeing

I recommend toe separators to clients A LOT. I have this brand and they are the best I have tried. Toe separators are used to give space to the toes and feet which is especially important when we are wearing tight fitting shoes day in/day out. You can wear them while relaxing on an evening with your feet up but these ones are so comfortable you can even wear them inside your shoes.

These are without a doubt the most widely known and recommended massage balls out there. They’re a great tool for easing out tension from within the muscles.

Spiky balls are great for releasing tension in the feet after a long day. They can also be used on other parts of the body and this handy little set comes with a range of 3 sizes to cover all bases.

If you’ve never tried a neti pot before, you need to give it a go. I’ll be honest, it can take a little getting used to but once you do its worth it. They’r a really handy little tool for clearing you head and airways and helping you to breath better – much better than using decongestants which can leave you groggy and felling worse.

I don’t think I’d survive without my foam roller. Its my trusty friend that helps revive my back after a long day. I even have a travel version that always goes in my suitcase when I go away (it weights next to nothing). There are millions of different varieties on the market – many scary looking looking beast type rollers. I always recommend something a little more gentle – aching muscles won’t thank you for brutalising them further. You can always increase resistance once you’re used to using one. This soft and simple roller is a good place to start.

Stick rollers are a good alternative for those people who cant get along with foam rollers. They’re great for easing out tension in the legs and as you can control the stick with your hands, they’re ideal for people with mobility issues.
